Re: M81 AT8RC LRGB

Welcome back Zach good to see your images again! I think I like it somewhere in between the two but do prefer the first images colors better.
I’ve been waiting for the weather to cooperate but so far it’s not happening.

Re: This Guy Knows Photoshop

Hi Greg, if by overlays you mean layers, then blending it into the original, then yes. But I believe that when being used in AP we use it in a slightly different fashion. Either enhancing certain areas of the image, removing stars etc. you get the picture.

Great processing Sean. I like the subtle variations in color towards the middle. Nice work.

Great work there Sean. I haven’t been able to get even 20 minutes of clarity to image.

I do t use Stellarium but I read that there is an Observability plug-in that needs to be checked to get transit times.

Re: when to do a meridian flip?

Well, since M101 transits about 2:20 a.m. it would be around that time. What you need to know is how far past the meridian your mount can track before colliding with your gear. More than likely it’s measured in degrees. Our limits maybe something like more than 90 so maybe 110 or 120 before the alar...

I got nothing. Except, clouds, snow and freezing temps. And when it warms up, it rains just about every weekend.

Weather

I don’t know if it’s just NJ weather but so far since November my nights have either been raining, cloudy or snowing. When it’s clear it’s either sub-teens or the winds are blowing at 30mph+.
Anyone else?

Site

If you’re all wondering why the site is looking a bit different it’s becau Doug is working on it in the background.
Hopefully all the kinks of the past will be gone and the site will be back to its full potential soon.
