TY Doug. The camera is awesome and I know yes its a color camera but its my best option and works well even with no LP filters. I didn't post my process so here it goes:

C8 w/2x Barlow
ASI120 color
2 min's which which ended up with 1.6gb of data

Capture program: Sharp Cap
Stacked: Autostaker
Wavelets: Registax
Cs5: I started to use it but left everything alone and just saved it as a jpg
Re-processed through Registax to brighten it up just a bit and saved it

Hello Doug I apologize for my late post but I would like to reupload my orion photo as it took me awhile to fix all the colours . When I first processed it the red channels were strong caused by the modded camera and I thought itd be ok, little did I know I can balance the rgb even with the strong red channels :11: Strange how it turned out at first silly me. Here it is anyway, hope its better :23:

Hey Doug,

Yeah, hopefully in November we will not be having so much :thunder: :rain: :thunder: :rain: :thunder: :rain: :thunder: :rain: ....

Oh. and did I mention we were having a little bit of :thunder: :rain: :thunder: :rain: .

haha...

That's ok though as it is giving me time to get my scope and wedge all straightened out and getting the bugs worked out.

Clear Skies!

Well done, Howard. That's very encouraging since I am looking forward to my first serious attempt with my SST8300M in November when I get back to my observatory. If you don't mind, pass on the details of your exposures (or if you have already done so, point me to where I can view that info).

Hey Bryan,

Yes, you and I both hate the rain when it comes to AP. However, we certainly needed the rain, just not all at once. We ended up with 8 inches of rain in just a few hours and that was a little too much all at one time... Just waiting to dry out!
