Star Circle South Africa - Farm Harmonie Noorsveld

Post by Andre » Wed Sep 13, 2017 4:24 am

Been a very long time since I have attempted any astro imaging , thought I would get my feet wet with some star circles.
I am busy setting up a new observatory on a farm , as LP has made it practically impossible to image from home anymore.
The LP in the images below comes from the town of Uitenhage and the City Port Elizabeth that is situated in line about 100 - 120 Km distant.
Apart from that the rest of the sky is reasonably dark , I think I might be able to get some half decent imaging done from here.

Thanks for looking.

Wow! Congrats Andre!

Obviously, this is the Southern Pole? I see this cloud blur, is that the Magellanic Cloud? Forgive my ignorance of the southern hemisphere. It's a real treat to see parts of the sky I've never seen from the northern hemisphere. Thank you!

Awesome!! I was wondering about the blur that moves with the image as well.
