Three "Snapshots"

So on Saturday my club hosted the annual Messier Marathon. Knowing that I would not be imaging a whole lot due to going back and forth to the other scopes to grab views, I decided to take some quick images, hence calling the "snapshots". It was pretty darn cold and a bit windy, and not having imaged in quite a while I was hoping that I remembered everything!
Here is M51, 9x300s; M81-82, 13x300s and M102(101), 5x600s. All in all I think they came out OK for such short integration times. It was fun but I need to get out for a real imaging session once this season of Nor'easters passes through.
Combined in CCD Stack, no flats, just darks and bias. Taken with the Tak FSQ and Atik 383.

I love those targets. Fun stuff Mike. It's in the 80's here as well. I think winter is over for us. Bummer.

Re: Three "Snapshots"

What a bummer. I'm enjoying any cool weather left this year because the severe heat is just around the corner

Re: Three "Snapshots"

Wow, nice photos and nice guiding. 30-45 minute "Snapshots". That would be a record exposure length for me :)
