HEY GUYS!! NGC 6888 AT8RC

Post by Rudeviewer » Fri Jul 20, 2018 9:13 am

Finally back! The weather here and of course life....has kept me from imaging for quite a long time. I finally got the bug back, and started gathering data on NGC 6888 The crescent in HA and OIII. Its been so long that I kind of forgot a ton a processing tricks and also had a computer failure and lost most of my old tools for Photoshop, so this is just a quick process with everything I can remember. Its a bit noisy due to needing more data, and probably needing to take a new set of darks, flats, and bias files since its been so long. That being said, it came out ok, just need to rehone my processing skills a bit. Let me know what you guys think........Details are:

1200x18 OIII

Nice to see you back. Great shot. You probably forgot more than most know :21: I fear loosing all my PS add ons all the time. Hope all is well with you.

Are you liking the MACH1? I am getting the CEM 60 going and am very happy with it.

I am hoping to try out my new TOA150 tonight. I got the extra counter weight for the mount last night but too late to play.

Maybe we can get a few more pics in the July contest!!!!

LOVE the Mach1. My guiding is set it and forget it, I don't even mess with settings anymore.

I just saw you got your big new toy. Hopefully it yields great results for you. Look forward to seeing what you produce with it!

I am redoing my image as we speak as I feel the first one is a little blown out, but I think we always critique our images like that.

Not so stretched image

I'll gather more data to stretch more.
