Re: Horizontal banding w/DSLR

This looks like some sort of power supply issue to me.

So i stacked w/ DSS on my old computer and no banding, go figure.
I can finally see what i am shooting at.
Now for better guiding, calibration files and processing skills.
I also ordered a AC adapter for full time power to camera.

Thanks
Craig

Re: Horizontal banding w/DSLR

Glad you can see the pics now. If your using PS from the last pic you posted you may try HLVG and Gradient Exterminator. They are adds ons you can get and would help a lot .

Re: Horizontal banding w/DSLR

Agreed, that's pretty bad. Does that banding happen at all exposure lengths? It shouldn't occur at all, but, perhaps you may find it's caused at longer exposure lengths? What I'm leading to is possible overheating?

It's weird Doug, DSS on my newer laptop stacked with the banding and my old computers DSS didn't.

Re: Horizontal banding w/DSLR

Did you figure it out? Old Computer vs New Computer? Interesting results. The New Computer failed the stacking algorithm. Wow! Good job Craig!
