Stars

Post by gardenfish » Mon Jul 23, 2018 8:17 am

My stars have always had a weird look to them. I had asked about it in the last year but never got an answer as to why they looked like they did. If you check my link on "The wall" and enlarge the pic you will see a ring around a dot kind of for most all the stars. I found out yesterday this is caused in my DSS stacking by some kind of setting I do not have right. I stacked the same subs in PI and the stars were all solid! Nice to finally get it figured out. Now to try and figure out which stacking parameters are causing the problem.

When I get home I will post a link to the PI stacked pic so you can see the comparison.

So here is two nights and different stacking. Really happy and can only get better.

How odd, I did notice that in your prior photo...I could never get DSS to work for me.
