I got some batt insulation in today. On a couple walls I have the solar insulation against the siding with the batt insulation next then drywall. On a couple walls I have the siding then batt insulation then solar then drywall. I put the first piece of drywall up and its looking good.

Look closely and tell me if you see the other best thing that has happened :5:

I will tell you in a day or so if you do not see it!

Well no padded floor :20: but...... I do have engineered hardwood flooring I may use at the finish. What I was alluding too was ..

.... ELECTRICITY!!!

It is now powered with 2 separate circuits. I used beige and orange receptacles to identify the different circuits.

Cut out today for the ac unit and 3 1/2 walls insulated :15: Hoping to set the pier in this weekend and put scope on the new CEM60 mount and check for height. Then I an get it dug out 3-4 ft down and put in cement base to mount pier too. And I should be able to get all the sheet rock up and ready.

Good eye's Mike. I put the first official piece of sheet rock today. I went around a receptacle and the AC unit :5: Since forcast is for 90°+ it will help with the inside work.

Any one with a thought for a color to paint the walls? I need a color that will not reflect light when the roof is open. Flat black is obviously the best choice but hoping for something.........not black.

Good progress. How about a Navy blue. It will look black at night.

I got the extra plywood for the roof today. Hope to get it on tomorrow morning before it gets too hot. Lower 90°s this weekend. I also finished the sheetrock on 2 walls and got first layer of spackling on. Not quite as fast going solo at this age as I used to be. But it is coming out nice :5:

I finished the plywood on the roof this morning before it hit the 90°s. Fixed the trim and added a couple solar lights and got 95% of the batt insulation in the ceiling.

Going to set the pier and scope inside and check the height and then dig and pour the pier base this week. The AC is hooked up so even though we are in the high 90°s this week I can get some work done inside.

I got the sheetrock primed and then added the orange peel texture. I then attached the trim pieces to the top of the walls. Next step is to prime the walls one more time over the texture and the trim pieces and then time for final color paint.

What no whips and chains?

Get ya a couple of nice shelves to put your bottles on and then you can just hang your martini glasses from underneath. Building a bed supported by rope hanging off the wall would make for an excellent couch or bed.

I have some old medical arms laying around in our storage room that have the extending arms and allow you to mount a 32 inch monitor and keypad on that you could float all that stuff in the air rather than building a table that takes up floor space.

Lastly I have all the wire and speakers you need for sound.

Think outside the box Smedly

Already have TV for wall and swing arm, and 7.1 surround sound if needed. Fridge is sitting in living room ready to move out there. My PierTech2 has a table built in for the laptop so it will go up and down with the scope :15:. Swam in the pool Saturday. Water is up to 84°

Trust me when I say I am ready :clearsky:

Thanks Mike it should be awesome one day. I picked up 2 - 8' and 1 -12' piece of steel beam to finish and secure the outcropping that will hold the roof when open. I hope to get the pieces welded in by this weekend.

It's taking a lot of time to pull this thing together but you are doing a great job. In the end you're going to be really happy about it.. I was watching FOX news this morning before Mass and they said it was 105 degrees in your part of the country. That's hellish. We are on our way to those high temps but the only difference between you and me is the 110 percent humidity that comes with our high temps. I'ts unbearable trust me.

Can't wait to see the place finished and up and running.

Thanks for not beating me to the punch on that scope! He's mailing it out to me in the morning. I wasn't really looking to buy another scope but when I saw the price on that Stellarvue SV 130 APO I couldn't pass it up. Looks like I'll be selling my ES ED127 Carbon to recoup some bucks.

I also have that second QSI 690 going up for sale. If anybody out there wants a great QSI 690 let me know.

Peace Everyone and Happy Sunday
