Two steps forward one step back

Post by Ken_nneth » Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:13 am

Started setting up my mini observatory (not finished), got my new Sesto Senso focus motor mounted, then my LodeStar X2 decide to quite on me. So first clear skies I’ve seen in a long time ended with mixed feeling. The Senso worked great (working on setup), but it focused with no problems both manually and automatically. But with no guide camera I had to do some unguided imaging, not bad but only short exposures. I be working on processing the rest of the week because the clouds are back.

Well it looks like you are almost there. Nice cover you made for the scope. Once you get guiding it will be nice to just flip the lid and shoot :) I am putting the roof on by myself today for the roll off observatory.
