Milky Way in Joshua Tree

I spent a week out in the Mojave, unfortunately it windy the whole time. I did get this with a Canon T5i and a Rokinon 14mm. Took the foreground separately, the Milky Way was 2 1/2 mins at f/1.8 ISO 400.

(Thinks Rick for the tip to upload, really took all the guess work out of it)

Re: Milky Way in Joshua Tree

Awesome shot. I need to figure out a portable power supply and get to dark skies and try the Milky way too. It is just too light polluted from here to do.

Nice capture!

Re: Milky Way in Joshua Tree

Great job. I've been using Photo Pills Program to find a decent place to shoot it here in this light polluted state. I'm going to take my boat out in the swamp and spend the night and shoot it over the cypress trees and water. I'ts totally dark out there, but I get my nerve up to hang out with the locals.
