Rosette with RC8 Revision 1

Post by h2opolo » Thu Apr 11, 2019 9:38 am

Here is the first draft of the top right corner of the Rosette shot with my RC8 and QSI 60

HA 26x1200
OIII 21x1200
SII 18x1200

I processed it pretty fast late at night in Pixinsight and it''s to contrasty, I plan to redo the process and see what I can do to make it better taking my time. Probably the last Nebula shot of the season.

I'll post the revised print later tonight. I just wanted yall to see the composition. I love the RC Scope

Okay Friday Night. 2nd Version. Much better but JPEG's just suck. It looks a lot better but it's hard to match a Jpeg to a Tiff file. I had to make all kinds of changes to color in PS to reduce it in order to fit the protocol here and still somewhat match what it really looks like in PI. Still looks better than that first! ha ha

That's really good Sean! PI and Fast seem to not work for me. I'm still slow and go with PI. Congrats on your photo and RC8.

Great work there Sean. I haven’t been able to get even 20 minutes of clarity to image.
Clear Skies!

Thanks MIke. I have redone it yet again. I'll post it later today. It's all I have to work with so I keep playing with it. I even went on Astrobin and downloaded some of Chris Gomez's files to play with.
