NGC281 Pacman Nebula by Doug

Here are the image stats:
Target Name: NGC281 Pacman Nebula
Orion Parsec 8300M
Orion NB filters
Orion EON120
Each Frame 10 minute Exposure.
SII = 26 Frames = 4H 30M = Red
Ha = 27 Frames = 4H 40M = Green
OIII = 31 Frames = 5h 10M = Blue
----------------------------------
Total Exposure = 14H 10m

Processed with DSS and Photoshop CS2

Used the Hubble Pallet and I modified the "gold" appearance as outline here:
http://bf-astro.com/hubbleP.htm

I discovered a new technique in processing...this image was taken over three nights and all the frames didn't line up perfectly. I found if you keep your luminance layer separated from your color layer, you can brush the stack layers off the image.

Taken over the Labor day weekend @ Mount Palomar.
